چکیده

Within the framework of model nonlocal thermoelastic peak low-energy ion, formation intrinsic stress in a carbon coating deposited from vacuum arc plasma argon atmosphere is theoretically studied. It shown that flow particles bombarding contains, along with C+ ions, also Ar+ ions involved coating. The flux density resulting ionization losses passing through proportional to both and (pressure) argon. Expressions are obtained for depending on bias potential substrate pressure cases constant pulsed potentials. analysis expressions shows decrease increasing pressure.

Studies on Diamond-like Carbon and Novel Diamond-like Carbon Polymer Hybrid Coatings Deposited with Filtered Pulsed Arc Discharge Method

The main obstacle for the application of high quality diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings has been the lack of adhesion to the substrate as the coating thickness is increased. The aim of this study was to improve the filtered pulsed arc discharge (FPAD) method. With this method it is possible to achieve high DLC coating thicknesses necessary for practical applications. The energy of the carbon i...

Diamond-Like Carbon film from Liquid Gas on Metallic Substrates

Liquid gas was used to produce DLC films on Cu, Al and steel substrates by DC plasma technique. The absorption in IR reflectance indicates, grown films are DLC. By deconvolution of room temperature UVvisible spectra of the films grown at 50 mtorr and 200C, in addition to the spectra lines reported for CL, PL, PLC and ESR, some new spectra lines were obtained. We also, have seen exciton absorpti...

Cryogenic vacuum tribology of diamond and diamond-like carbon films

Friction measurements have been performed on microcrystalline, ultrananocrystalline, and diamond-like carbon DLC films with natural diamond counterfaces in the temperature range of 8 K to room temperature. All films exhibit low friction 0.1 in air at room temperature. In ultrahigh vacuum, microcrystalline diamond quickly wears into a high friction state 0.6 , which is independent of temperature...
